Brian has freelanced for the Associated Press and Reuters News Pictures and covered local news events including professional sports like the NFL and NHL. His portfolio includes coverage of presidential campaigns, concerts and the World University Games.

Brian Phillips is a member of the Wedding Photojournalist Association and the National Press Photographers Association.

Brian Phillips is not a traditional wedding photographer. His background in photojournalism contributes to the style and approach he brings to his wedding photography. He truly captures the essence of your wedding through candid photos that really tell the day's story. He enjoys creating images where many times brides say, "Wow, I never even knew that happened." Brian takes a collaborative approach with his clients. He will work with you and shoot many of the traditional formal shots you may desire, but the majority of his time is spent documenting the event with his photojournalistic style.

Brian's main focus is the content and quality of the pictures he takes. He encourages couples to choose their photographer based on the images they make, not how many prints or albums you will get with your package. These can always be purchased later while your wedding day images can only be created once.
