Gordon O’Connell is a composer, guitarist, arranger and recording artist. His debut album, A Collection of Lives, features his original compositions and instrumental talents. Gordon performs nationally with renowned smooth jazz artist Andre Ward. In recent years Gordon has performed solo guitar concerts in Tel Aviv, Israel as well as performing with prominent Israeli saxophonist Shlomi Goldberg. In the summer of 2018, Gordon performed a solo guitar concert at Naresuan University
in Phitsanulok Province, Thailand. His solo guitar performances in the Boston area prompted WBUR Radio personality Steve Ellman to describe him as “One of the most sensitive and innovative musicians in the
Gordon studied classical guitar with Robert Paul Sullivan at New England Conservatory, and composition at the Berklee College of Music where he received the Laurindo Almeida Award for Excellence in Performance.
He also studied jazz improvisation with world renowned pianist Charlie Banacos.
