alt

"Make your next event the most talked- about party of the year with a tasteful send-up of Sarah Palin. Professional impersonator Cecilia Thompson will captivate your audience with her fun and respectful parody of one of America’s most talked about politicians. Her clean, bipartisan comedy delights audiences of all types. Cecilia Thompson is available for corporate events, employee recognition programs, trade shows, private parties, grand openings, expos, fundraisers, and parades. Sarah normally travels with her personal bodyguard* and often arrives at events in a chauffeur-driven limousine, sometimes accompanied by a police escort."

A typical appearance includes:

• 5-15 minute comedy presentation tailored to the theme of your event

• Musical parody that really rocks the house or a patriotic sing-along

• Meet-and-greet with the audience

– “Sarah” works the room, shakes hands, winks, points, and gives the thumbs up

Lisa Marie & All Shook Up

Poor and shy, she sang her way out of the blues

She didn’t risk daydreaming about being the vocalist in her own band, or being the recipient of the Worcester Music Award for best female vocalist in 2006. But it happened.

Vocalist who once crooned alone now wows crowds

“I had all of this stuff in my head,’’ recalls Lisa Marie Harrington, a Milford resident whose soulful voice can regularly be heard at the Colonial Inn in Concord.

“When I was a kid I used to crawl up next to the stereo speaker and sometimes fall asleep listening to the music.’’ Mostly oldies, she said. “I was drawn to 1950s and ’60s rock and roll. Buddy Holly. Elvis Presley. Rock-a-billy stuff.’’

Boston · June 27
photography by Kristin Spencer Photography

At first, when Robin Lee (27and an assistant professor of economics) met Karin Min (28 and an MBA student) at a bar in New York City with mutual friends in 2002, he didn’t pay much attention to her. But later in the night, when their group hit a karaoke bar and Karin offered to belt out REM with Robin, he was impressed. So much that when she called him a few weeks later for a friend’s phone number, Robin was thrilled to find out they were actually both walking in Central Park—and asked to meet up. They started dating, and five-and-a-half years later, while the couple was living in Cambridge, Robin asked Karin to go for a walk. He proposed on the
Weeks Footbridge, where a stunned Karin said, “Of course!” She didn’t even look at the ring for several minutes! —Caitlin Moscatello

their style
The city view from The State Room set the tone for Karin and Robin’s crisp, modern wedding, which had a white and silver color scheme with orange accents. Dramatic orchid arrangements added a formal vibe to the contemporary event.

the escort cards
Acrylic blocks etched with guests’ names were wrapped in ribbon color-coded according to what they ordered for dinner.

the bridal bouquet
Karin carried structured orchids and calla lilies to contrast with the softness of her bridesmaids’ arrangements of peonies.
