Ron has over 25 years of experience as a DJ and in the music industry. He has entertained thousands of guests at all types of events, from Weddings to Bar/Bat Mitzvahs to Corporate events, Night Clubs and much more.

Ron started as a DJ while in Jr. High School performing at local and school events. Shortly thereafter, Ron began doing Weddings and Bar/Bat Mitzvahs while learning the business as an assistant with Entertainment Specialists. Ron attended UMASS Amherst as a Communications Major, where he became Production Manager and Top Radio Personality on WMUA 91.1fm. At this time, Ron also began producing mix tapes and original music for local artists. Ron continued studying Broadcasting at the Northeast Broadcasting School and founded "Ruff Music", a commercial and music production company that worked with over forty local artists writing, producing and marketing their material. "Smoov Wit Da Ruffness", a group produced and marketed by Ruff Music, won the "Outstanding New Rap Act" at the Boston Music Awards. Upon graduation, he spent three years as a DJ and Production Manager for station 104.9 WRBB in Boston, Northeastern University’s urban radio show “Soul’s Place”. Ron performed at many night clubs regularly and spent many hours working at Kiss 108fm, WILD, WJMN, HOT 106fm just to name a few.

Today, Ron is a full time DJ averaging over 150 events a year. Ron also produces music and audio for commercials and personalizes and re-mixes music for dance teams, aerobic instructors, fashion shows, and other musically coordinated events.

Although Ron has performed for thousands of events throughout his career, the next event is the best one. Ron hasn't lost his eagerness and determination to become the best he can be. I was married on November 3rd. DJ Ron Furr was a tremendous asset. He was great throughout the ceremony. We had a diverse group of attendees...ages 2-88 from 3 different countries. He adapted to last minute requests, played a great mix of music, and made everybody feel comfortable. I had no idea how our unique mix of people would do in a reception...they loved it! More importantly, Ron was easy to get a hold of, generous with his time, and walked us through exactly how the ceremony and reception would flow. We were having trouble picturing how everything would work. After a few conversations with Ron, we knew that we would be fine. It is hard to put a price on feeling some control as you try to coordinate a huge event. I can't recommend him enough. 6 stars!
